We have employed inorganic nanomaterials to enhance the performance of engineered cardiac tissues. Also, together with the Lieber group at Harvard, we have developed engineered excitable tissues and blood vessels containing nanoaddressable array with which one could monitor tissue electrical activity, pH, and other parameters.
