
The Kohane Lab has welcomed our first half of summer interns!
Jade Jollivet: Jade is an engineering student in Paris specializing in chemistry and biology. Her research interests are mainly in drug delivery and how to use chemistry to challenge biological barriers. In her free time, she loves books and making beads bracelets, and also loves to find good spots to eat or drink.

Eli Weldon: Eli is currently pursuing a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Northeastern University. His research interests include a wide variety of subjects including targeted delivery of nanoparticles, delivery of biologics, and pain management. When he’s not in the lab, he enjoys going to the gym, running, spending time outdoors, and baking.

Jessica Jin: Jessica is a rising senior majoring in biochemistry at Tufts University. Her research interests include investigating anesthetic drug interactions in vivo, with a focus on the chemical mechanisms underlying local anesthesia; and exploring how molecular structure influences pharmacological effects, alongside a broader interest in organic synthesis. In her free time, she enjoys trying new cafes, lifting, crocheting, playing the piano, and shopping at Trader Joe’s.

Mina Okaniwa: Mina is currently studying Biology and Child Study & Human Development at Tufts University. Her research background is in biomaterial chemistry, focusing on developing silk-based antimicrobial material for wound-healing applications. She is now interested in exploring drug delivery systems for treating venous malformations. In her free time, she enjoys running, skiing, and ceramics.
