Education: Mary received my B.S. in Chemistry and Neuroscience from Wake Forest University in 2018, and her M.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Neuroscience in 2019. She completed her M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine in 2024 and also completed a M.H.S. during this time from Duke University Graduate School in 2023. She started her general surgery residency at Duke University Health System in 2024.

Research interests: Mary is interested in studying vascular biology and how to better treat, and even ameliorate, vascular anomalies through nanoparticle technology.

Hobbies: Running with her dog, gardening, cycling, hiking
