On Wednesday, March 25th Dr. Brian McAlvin gave a talk at the 10th Annual Symposium in Cellular, Molecular and Clinical Research in Surgery. The Symposium took place in the Folkman Auditorium inside the Enders Building at Boston Children’s Hospitlal. The title of the talk was “Surface modified extracorporeal circuitry for selective cytokine filtration”.

At 10:10 PM last night, Changyou Zhan’s baby girl was born. Changyou, his wife Xian and their daughter Grace are pictured here. Grace was born weighing 3460 grams. Congratulations!

On June 1st, Brian Timko was promoted to Instructor of Anaesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has been working in the lab for four years and is developing new nanomaterials for cardiac tissue scaffolds, cancer therapy, and remotely-triggerable drug delivery systems.
