On Wednesday, March 25th Dr. Brian McAlvin gave a talk at the 10th Annual Symposium in Cellular, Molecular and Clinical Research in Surgery. The Symposium took place in the Folkman Auditorium inside the Enders Building at Boston Children’s Hospitlal. The title of the talk was “Surface modified extracorporeal circuitry for selective cytokine filtration”.
In a surprise announcement, Dr. J. Brian McAlvin was invested as the group’s first representative to the Rodent User Group (RUG). We wish him the best in this endeavor, and hope that he uses his new power wisely.

On June 1st, Brian Timko was promoted to Instructor of Anaesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has been working in the lab for four years and is developing new nanomaterials for cardiac tissue scaffolds, cancer therapy, and remotely-triggerable drug delivery systems.
On Thursday, May 30th, Al Kwon graduated from Harvard Medical School.
